Zabeel Veterinary Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our growing team in Dubai. The successful candidate will assist veterinarians in providing high-quality medical care, treatment, and support for a variety of animals while ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures.
- Prepare animals for surgery and monitor them during recovery.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by veterinarians.
- Collect and process laboratory samples, including blood, urine, and other diagnostic specimens.
- Perform diagnostic procedures such as radiography, laboratory testing, and patient monitoring.
- Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation.
- Provide nursing care and monitor hospitalized patients.
- Educate pet owners on animal care, medication administration, and post-treatment instructions.
- Ensure proper cleaning, sterilization, and maintenance of medical equipment and treatment areas.
- Assist in inventory management and stock control of medical supplies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Technology, Veterinary Nursing, Animal Health, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Nurse.
- Experience working in a veterinary clinic or hospital environment.
- Knowledge of veterinary procedures, laboratory techniques, and animal handling.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- English proficiency is required; additional languages are an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with small animals, exotic animals, or equine patients is an advantage.
- Familiarity with veterinary practice management systems.
- UAE experience is preferred
