Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Civil Project Engineer to join our team. As a Civil Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects. You will work closely with clients, contractors, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong technical knowledge, project management skills, and a passion for solving complex engineering problems.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Design: Develop and review detailed plans, designs, and specifications for civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, drainage systems, and other infrastructure.
Project Management: Oversee all stages of civil engineering projects from inception through to completion, ensuring compliance with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Coordination with Stakeholders: Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, architects, and other project team members to ensure project objectives are met.
Site Supervision: Conduct site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure construction is carried out according to plans, regulations, and safety standards.
Cost and Budget Management: Prepare cost estimates, manage project budgets, and track expenditures to ensure projects stay within financial constraints.
Quality Control: Ensure that materials, methods, and workmanship meet the required quality standards, codes, and regulations.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to avoid project delays, cost overruns, or safety issues.
Compliance and Permits: Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including acquiring necessary permits and approvals.
Reporting and Documentation: Prepare regular progress reports, technical documentation, and other project-related paperwork.
Team Collaboration: Work with multidisciplinary teams to resolve engineering challenges and find innovative solutions to project obstacles.
Client Liaison: Provide regular updates and communicate effectively with clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are managed.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Professional Engineering (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is preferred.
Experience: 3+ years of experience in civil engineering, with experience in project management, construction, or infrastructure design.
Skills:
Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.).
Excellent project management skills, with experience in coordinating and leading projects from start to finish.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project) and project management tools.
Knowledge of relevant building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with various stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform fieldwork and site visits, including walking on uneven terrain and inspecting construction sites.
Ability to lift and carry materials up to 30 lbs if required.
