V HV UG Cable + OHTL Engineer – Electrical Jobs in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia at Altron

Position: 132kV HV UG Cable + OHTL Engineer – Electrical

  • 132kV HV UG cable laying, pulling, splicing, grounding, and testing activities.

  • Supervise Installation of 132kV HV UG Cables, Cable Joint Box and FO cables.

  • Supervise the erection of HV Transmission Lines towers & conductors, Gantry terminal Compound and OPGW.

  • Supervise the Testing & Commissioning of 132kV HV UG Cables, Cable Joint Box, HV Transmission Lines, Gantry Terminal Compound and OPGW FO cables.

  • Experience in laying of 132kV HV UG Cables under complex power plant area.

  • Experience in 132kV UG Survey Study and UG facilities SCANNING.

  • Lead the site construction team to manage the subcontractors & Site Team, attending meetings and resolving QA/QC, HSE related matters at site.

  • Design review of Design Documents for 132kV HV underground cable and overhead transmission lines.

  • Anchoring on-site activities to ensure completion of project within the time & cost parameters with effective.

  • Coordinate with utility authorities such as Saudi Electricity Company (SEC), Power Plant and Consultants.

  • Preparation & implementation of Construction Execution plan.

  • Involved in the coordination with all the technical staff, provide necessary training, performance appraisal, termination of incompetent staff etc.

  • Rendering professional assistance and technical advice to Site Team.

  • Attend meetings with Client – SEC to provide status of baseline program as required and request updated program from the Subcontractors.

  • Ensure compliance with IEC, SEC, IEEE, and project specifications.

  • Supervise the testing and commissioning activities such as: VLF testing, Hi-Pot testing, Tan Delta testing, Continuity and insulation resistance tests.

  • Participates in Project Risk Review, Constructability review and values Engineering Workshops.

  • Manage daily on-site operations such as headcount, check-ins of employees to ensure staffs’ availability during working hours.

  • Monitor all site activities and ensure compliance with company procedures and policies.

  • Participate in reviewing the plan on a weekly basis with the Project Manager.

  • Ensure the quality of workmanship and materials supplied by subcontractors meet the requirements of the contract documents.

  • Ensure that materials are efficiently and securely stored on site to minimize double handling and theft.

  • Complies with all relevant safety, health & environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe environment.

  • Any other responsibilities assigned by the management from time to time.

  • Review and approve method statements, ITPs, RFIs, and as-built drawings.

  • Identify and resolve technical issues during construction and commissioning.
