Job Summary:
The Project Engineer – ELV is responsible for managing and overseeing the installation, operation, and commissioning of Extra Low Voltage systems such as CCTV, Access Control, Public Address, Structured Cabling, and other ELV systems. This role ensures that all tasks are performed as per project specifications, timeline, and quality standards. The role also involves preparing BOQs, obtaining material approvals, coordinating with the delivery of drawings, and managing invoicing to achieve monthly revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Material Submittal & Approval Process:
Prepare and submit material submittals to the client for approval in accordance with project specifications.
Follow up with stakeholders to ensure the timely approval of materials, ensuring no delays in project timelines.
Coordination with Drawings Delivery:
Collaborate with the design and drafting team to ensure timely delivery of project drawings.
Ensure that all necessary changes, updates, and revisions are communicated clearly and accurately to the relevant parties.
Verify that the drawings align with the project’s technical and regulatory requirements.
Invoicing & Revenue Management:
Coordinate with the accounts department to generate accurate invoices based on project milestones and completed work.
Monitor and ensure that invoicing is done as per the project’s schedule to achieve monthly revenue targets.
Follow up on payments and resolve any invoicing discrepancies promptly.
Material Inspection Requests (MIR) & Work Inspection Requests (WIR):
Prepare and submit MIRs and WIRs for inspection of materials and completed work as per the project schedule.
Ensure all materials and works comply with the specifications and standards required by the project.
Coordinate with the quality control team and client to resolve any discrepancies or issues identified during inspections.
Project Monitoring and Reporting:
Monitor project progress and ensure that activities are conducted according to the project plan.
Regularly report to the project manager on the status of work, issues encountered, and any corrective actions needed.
Team Coordination & Leadership:
Supervise and coordinate with site engineers, technicians, and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution of ELV systems installation.
Provide technical guidance and support to the team, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance:
Ensure that all activities on-site comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments for the project.
Client & Stakeholder Communication:
Maintain regular communication with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders regarding project progress and requirements.
Address any concerns or issues raised by clients and ensure prompt resolution.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in handling ELV systems (CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, PA Systems, Structured Cabling, etc.) on large-scale projects.
Strong understanding of the preparation of BOQs, invoicing, MIR & WIR processes.
Experience in coordinating with design, procurement, and site teams.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of ELV systems, project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera), and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with project-related documentation, such as drawings, specifications, and contracts.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
Certifications:
Any additional certifications in ELV systems or project management (e.g., PMP, ISO standards, etc.) will be considered a plus.

Pay: AED5,000.00 – AED7,000.00 per month
