Position: UPHOLSTERER at AMERICAN DESIGN SOURCE

Key Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and install fabric, leather, foam, and padding materials.
- Repair and restore sofas, chairs, beds, cushions, and other upholstered furniture.
- Remove old upholstery and replace damaged materials.
- Operate upholstery tools and equipment such as sewing machines, staplers, and cutting tools.
- Read and interpret design drawings, measurements, and customer requirements.
- Ensure proper fitting, finishing, and appearance of upholstered products.
- Conduct quality checks on finished work.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and company policies.
- Coordinate with supervisors, carpenters, and interior fit-out teams when necessary.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Upholsterer or similar role.
- Knowledge of upholstery materials, fabrics, leather, foam, and furniture structures.
- Ability to use upholstery tools and sewing machines.
- Good measuring, cutting, and stitching skills.
- Attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Physical ability to lift and move furniture items.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience:
at least Minimum: 5 years (Preferred)
Preferred Skills
- Furniture restoration and repair experience.
- Basic carpentry knowledge.
- Time management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and production targets.
Working Conditions
- Work may be performed in workshops, factories, construction sites, or customer locations.
- May require standing for long periods and handling heavy materials or furniture.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: QAR1,000.00 – QAR1,500.00 per month
