We are looking for a Unix/Linux Engineer (Medina Airport)
Description of work:
Planning, designing, and installing Unix/Linux systems, storage units, server hardware, and backup systems at the terminals he is responsible for, ensuring that 24/7 operation support is provided safely and without any problems.
Main Responsibilities & Requirements:
Design, installation, administration, configuration, upgrade, migration, and maintenance of Linux Servers and automation tools (Debian and Redhat derivatives, Ansible, Satellite, etc.).
Experience with Server, Storage & SAN (Storage Area Network) hardware setup, management, and maintenance. Experience with virtualization and containerization (VMware, Openshift, Kubernetes, etc.).
Responsible for performance monitoring and tuning of systems.
Installation and management of backup systems (Veeam Backup).
Maintaining high availability and redundancy of business-critical Unix/Linux systems, SAN, Backup, and VMware systems.
Close security gaps of the systems for which he is responsible within the scope of internal and external audits.
Carry out feasibility studies to determine needs within the scope of Unix/Linux systems, backup systems, storage units, and virtual systems in new projects.
Follow technological developments of the systems under his responsibility, ensuring they are applied to the institution when needed.
Responsible for performing these and similar jobs assigned by the manager within the scope of the job description.
Produce solutions by quickly addressing related requests.
Perform long-term planning for hardware and software upgrades and prepare annual capacity plans.
Administer and execute various management activities and manage all backup activities.
Prepare and enforce information security management system documentation.
Follow up on licensing and support agreements.
Education:Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or related area) preferred.
Relevant work experience:5 years
Foreign Language:English
Level:Good:
Sufficient level to explain and understand instructions, discuss issues, and read and write reports.
