We are looking for a Underwriter – Marine to join our Middle East Team. This individual will analyze and underwrite new and renewal business, ensuring high service levels and adherence to The Zurich Way of Underwriting Framework.
Key Responsibilities
Assess and price marine risks, negotiate terms, and close deals for new and renewal business.
Operate with moderate Underwriting Authority, seeking higher-level approval when necessary.
Perform account servicing, documentation, and system updates.
Manage accounts in line with broader Underwriting strategies.
Engage with distributors and seek new business opportunities.
Handle customer and broker queries proactively.
Knowledge of Marine Liability and openness to other Marine sub-lines such as Cargo, Project Cargo, Fine Arts & Species, and Jewellers Block.
Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with 5+ years in Underwriting or Market Facing roles.
Knowledge of underwriting guidelines, techniques, and local regulations.
Strong
