Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Transport Manager to lead and oversee our local UAE deliveries and cross-border GCC operations. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring smooth transportation processes, optimising costs, and delivering on profitability targets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in P&L management, substantial experience with a Transport Management System (TMS), and excellent leadership qualities.
Key Responsibilities
Transportation Operations Management
Oversee and coordinate all local UAE deliveries and cross-border GCC operations.
Ensure on-time delivery performance while meeting quality and compliance standards.
Manage relationships with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to streamline processes.
P&L Management
Develop and implement strategies to meet financial targets for the transportation division.
Monitor budget performance, analyse variances, and take corrective actions to optimise profitability.
Provide regular financial reports and forecasts to senior management.
Transport Management System (TMS)
Implement, monitor, and enhance TMS utilisation for all transport activities.
Ensure data accuracy, generate actionable insights, and drive continuous improvement in TMS workflows.
Train and mentor team members on best practices for TMS usage and compliance.
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, motivate, and develop a diverse logistics and transportation team.
Foster a collaborative, results-driven environment, ensuring clear communication of goals and responsibilities.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, identify training needs, and support professional development.
Cost Management & Efficiency
Continuously review and optimise transportation strategies to minimise costs without compromising service quality.
Implement efficiency improvements and cost-saving initiatives, leveraging data and market insights.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to achieve favourable terms.
