We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Transportation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing transportation systems and infrastructure projects, including roads, highways, traffic management systems, and public transit solutions. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to improve safety, efficiency, and sustainability in transportation networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop transportation infrastructure projects such as roadways, intersections, and traffic control systems
- Conduct traffic impact studies, modeling, and data analysis
- Prepare engineering reports, plans, and specifications
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards
- Collaborate with urban planners, contractors, and government agencies
- Review project proposals and provide technical recommendations
- Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines
- Identify and implement innovative and sustainable transportation solutions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred (or ability to obtain)
- [X+] years of relevant experience in transportation engineering
- Proficiency in traffic modeling and design software (e.g., VISSIM, Synchro, AutoCAD, Civil 3D)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Knowledge of transportation planning principles and safety standards
