Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Transport Planner with 8 to 10 years of minimum professional experience to join our team. In this role, you will lead traffic impact assessments and evaluate the transportation components of new and existing developments, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive Traffic Impact Studies (TIS) for new developments, expansions, and redevelopment projects.
- Evaluate the transportation components of proposed projects, including access, circulation, parking, and pedestrian safety.
- Perform traffic modelling and operational analysis using industry-standard engineering software and tools.
- Carry out technical analysis and prepare detailed reports under the consultation and supervision of senior engineers.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify transportation constraints and recommend effective mitigation measures.
- Ensure all analyses comply with local codes, guidelines, and best practices.
Required Software Knowledge:
Candidates must be proficient in the following traffic engineering software:
- VISSIM (microsimulation)
- VISSUM (macroscopic/mesoscopic modelling)
- SYNCHRO (signal timing and coordination)
- SIDRA (intersection capacity and analysis)
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Minimum of 8–10 years of proven experience in traffic impact assessments and transportation planning.
- Proficiency in VISSIM, VISSUM, SYNCHRO, and SIDRA is mandatory.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work effectively under the guidance of senior engineering staff.
- Professional certification (e.g., P.E., P.Eng., or equivalent) is highly desirable.
