Training Instructor Supervisor Armaments Jobs in Dukhān, Qatar at BAE Systems
The Training Instructor Supervisor – Armament, will be responsible for the supervision and delivery of both theoretical and practical training related to Typhoon Type, specialist, and support training. The role includes assessing trainee performance and evaluating the efficacy of the training system.
Formal training will occur within the Qatar Typhoon Training Facility (QTTF), augmented by mentored training within the operational environment. The supervisor will oversee the day-to-day supervision and allocation of Training Instructors, ensuring courses are properly staffed and resourced.
Key responsibilities include:
Act as the subject matter and curriculum lead for your maintenance technician area, including supervision, coaching, and mentoring of Training Instructors.
Supervise Training Instructors and participate in the preparation and delivery of courses according to the approved syllabus and training schedule within the Training Management Information System (TMIS).
Oversee invigilation and marking of examinations and assessments.
Participate in continuous assessment, evaluation, and reporting of trainee progress.
Coordinate aircraft and equipment for courses.
Ensure trainees use appropriate PPE and observe safety procedures during practical training.
Supervise equipment pre-use checks and ensure training areas are left in a safe condition.
Maintain discipline among trainees at all times.
Report trainee absences to the Training Manager.
Monitor and verify the quality and accuracy of instruction and assessment.
Develop and maintain the competencies of yourself and the Training Instructors.
Maintain liaison with QTTF personnel to uphold processes related to planning, standards, compliance, and exam management.
Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying and reporting course deficiencies and suggesting improvements.
Deputise for the Training Manager or perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Training Qualification at Level 3 or above (e.g., Level 3 Award in Education & Training, Level 4 Certificate, Level 5 Diploma).
A recognized qualification to NVQ3/ONC level in a relevant aircraft maintenance discipline or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years’ recent experience supporting Maintenance & Support activities, including direct training support.
Understanding of the Regulatory Framework applicable to training systems and activities.
At least 5 years of supervising and delivering aircraft type training, with operational knowledge of instructional delivery and mentoring.
Professional understanding of training structures and processes, with the ability to develop and implement solutions.
