  • Conduct regular inspections of traffic management measures, signage, markings, and signals on road construction projects to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Review traffic management plans, temporary traffic diversions, and work zone layouts to identify potential risks, hazards, and congestion points, and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Monitor traffic flow and patterns near construction sites, assessing the impact of construction activities on road users, pedestrians, and neighboring communities.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, local authorities, and law enforcement agencies, to coordinate traffic management strategies and minimize disruptions to traffic.
  • Implement traffic control measures, such as lane closures, detours, and temporary traffic signals, in accordance with approved plans and safety protocols.
  • Conduct traffic impact assessments and modeling to predict the effects of construction activities on traffic congestion, travel times, and safety, and propose strategies to mitigate adverse impacts.
  • Investigate traffic incidents, accidents, and near misses, documenting findings, identifying contributing factors, and recommending preventive measures to enhance safety.
  • Provide guidance and training to construction teams and traffic control personnel on traffic management procedures, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices in traffic management and transportation planning, incorporating relevant advancements into project strategies and methodologies.
  • Uphold WSP's commitment to safety, sustainability, and quality excellence in all aspects of project execution.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field; professional certifications or licenses in traffic management are advantageous.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in traffic management, transportation planning, or related fields, with a focus on road, bridges, highway, and tunnel projects.
  • Proven track record of working with top international construction consultants and ensuring compliance with traffic regulations and standards.
  • Strong understanding of traffic engineering principles, traffic control devices, and traffic management techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders and foster collaborative relationships.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools and platforms for traffic analysis, simulation, and modeling.
