Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Traditional Cuisine Chef to prepare authentic dishes that reflect the heritage and culture of our cuisine. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of traditional cooking techniques, ingredients, and presentation styles, ensuring consistency, quality, and authenticity in every dish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook traditional dishes according to established recipes and standards
  • Ensure authenticity in taste, presentation, and cooking methods
  • Develop and refine menu items while preserving cultural integrity
  • Source and select high-quality, traditional ingredients
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen in compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Monitor food quality, portion sizes, and kitchen costs
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in traditional cooking techniques
  • Collaborate with management on seasonal menus and special events
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of food items

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a chef specializing in traditional or regional cuisine
  • Strong knowledge of traditional cooking methods, spices, and ingredients
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Culinary certification or relevant training is preferred
  • Experience in a similar restaurant or hospitality environment
  • Knowledge of multiple regional variations of traditional cuisine
  • Leadership or supervisory experience in a kitchen setting
