In this role, you are the strategic bridge between our procurement ambitions and our financial stability. You will manage the instruments of international trade with precision, ensuring that our luxury assets move across borders smoothly, securely, and cost-effectively.
Your Mission
- Trade Instrument Architect: Direct the issuance, amendment, and negotiation of Letters of Credit (LCs), Standby LCs, and Bank Guarantees (BGs), tailored to high-value international transactions.
- Strategic Banking Liaison: Manage and nurture relationships with top-tier local and international banks to secure and optimize trade credit lines and treasury facilities.
- Risk & Compliance Management: Oversee the rigorous review of trade documents and contracts to mitigate credit, operational, and FX risks while ensuring 100% compliance with ICC rules (UCP 600) and Qatari regulations.
- Cash Flow Optimization: Partner with the Treasury team to optimize working capital cycles through innovative supply chain financing and receivable discounting strategies.
- Expert Consultation: Provide financial guidance to the Procurement and Logistics teams on Incoterms 2020, payment terms, and the financial implications of global shipping routes.
- Executive Reporting: Deliver high-level analysis to the CFO on facility utilization, trade costs, and the financial health of our international vendor network.
The Profile We’re Looking For
- Experience: 8+ years in Trade Finance, either within a Corporate Finance department or a Global Banking institution. Experience in Luxury Retail, High-End Commodities, or Global Logistics is highly preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, International Business, or Economics.
- Professional Credentials: Possession of a CDCS (Certified Documentary Credit Specialist) or CSDG designation is a major advantage.
- Technical Savvy: Expert knowledge of SWIFT messaging, ERP trade modules (SAP/Oracle), and advanced financial modeling in Excel.
- Global Mindset: Deep understanding of international trade laws, sanctions, and the nuances of the GCC financial market.
- Communication: Refined English communication skills; Arabic proficiency is highly valued for navigating local banking and regulatory landscapes.
