About
The Role
We are recruiting for a Tour Guide II, to be based in Doha, Qatar.
Multilingual guide qualified to accompany designated people on familiarization trips, focusing on media personnel, journalists, athletes, and large groups. Professionally represent Discover Qatar and provide a seamless, high-quality guest experience by maintaining excellent service standards.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Escorting individuals or groups to tour sites, providing information about the history and culture, and answering queries about attractions.
Resolving itinerary issues and handling customer complaints to ensure smooth operations and satisfaction.
Acting as an ambassador of Discover Qatar, delivering trips professionally and representing Qatar positively.
Creating contingency plans for cancellations, closures, or weather issues to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with laws.
Reporting service failings and customer feedback, and providing tour reports for continuous improvement.
Assisting with scheduling and accommodating special needs of group members.
Working with management to develop new tour routes based on visitor interests.
Performing other related duties as directed by the department head.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
High School or Vocational Qualification with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
Good teamwork, grooming, and sociability in a multicultural environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with time management abilities.
Factual knowledge of Qatar’s history, geography, and development.
Proficiency in MS Office and computer literacy.
