The Thermal Spray operator will work with the respective cell leader of the Qatar Service Center to make sure all company standards and organizational needs are met.
As a Thermal Spray Operator, you will be responsible for:
Operating, programming, and maintaining specialized thermal spray equipment in accordance with work instructions and customer specifications.
Preparing laboratory samples / approval of new sprays and processes.
Working with the cell leader in the development of required fixtures for new product lines.
Performing part changeovers and execution of work according to product specifications, drawings, and work instructions.
Performing all work in accordance with plant safety rules and maintaining the highest quality standards in the execution of all assigned work.
Performing routine preventative maintenance on all machines and other routine labor work as required in accordance with production flow.
Preparing components (masking and surface preparation).
Blending/Polishing to remove overspray by using pneumatic grinders.
Vacuum furnace operations as required.
Maintaining a clean work area and contributing towards overall housekeeping efforts and other duties as needed.
Updating digital shop systems related to assigned work (Digital Work Order, Time Vouchering, Operation completion).
Ensuring the work area is compliant with HSE requirements.
Fuel your passion
Have a Bachelor’s in Engineering or Diploma / GED.
Have strong shop mathematics, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, and fractions required.
Have 5 years of experience in coatings of gas turbine components or any relevant experience inProject Management, Equipment Management, Fixture Development &Process Improvement.
Must be able to read and interpret drawings and coating specifications.
Have operation and programming experience of CNC equipment or production robots.
Tactical execution with a sense of urgency.
