Role Purpose: The Tendering Engineer is responsible of Conduct review of Customer product and technical requirements. Prepare technical documents for quotations and offers
Support Sales in techno-commercial discussions.
Duties:
1- Tender management:
- Read Customers ‘Request for Quotation” and specifications.
- Estimate the cost of products and solutions using the costing tools.
- Prepare Scope of Supply, Technical Notes, Deviation List, Spare Parts List and other technically related documents for quotations.
- Revise the offers to accommodate clients’ comments whenever required and review with Tender manager.
- Prepare contract reviews and launch orders to the project team.
- Explain offer and solution compliance and deviation justification with Sales & Customer.
2- Sales support:
- Participate in techno-commercial discussions with Sales and if needed, with the Customer.
3- Reporting:
- Keep track of expected project in consultation with the Sales Manager.
- Report Hit rate ,offer life time for project quoted.
4- Operational excellence:
- Communicate with potential supplier/vendors for non-standard components whenever required.
Requirements:
1- Necessary Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience in related field.
- Experience in Estimation and Tendering in a Switchgear manufacturing company.
- Proficiency in Computer software (MS Office, AutoCAD).
2- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
