Job Title: Tender Risk Advisor
Department: Risk Management
Role Purpose:
Support the tendering process by identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with bids, contracts, and commercial proposals to safeguard the organization’s financial, legal, and operational interests while ensuring alignment with corporate governance and risk appetite.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Review tender documents, contracts, and commercial proposals.
- Identify and classify financial, legal, operational, and compliance risks.
- Assess contractual obligations and exposure levels.
- Conduct partner due diligence and JV risk evaluation.
- Improve tender risk tools and maintain the centralized risk register.
- Strengthen internal risk governance and control procedures
- Develop mitigation strategies and risk allocation models.
- Recommend contractual amendments and protective clauses.
- Advise on contingencies, guarantees, bonds, and insurance coverage.
- Support commercial teams during bid structuring.
- Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Procurement, and Technical teams.
- Align risk positions with internal policies and governance frameworks.
- Facilitate risk review meetings prior to submission deadlines.
- Prepare structured risk assessment reports.
- Present findings to management and risk committees.
- Escalate high-risk items in line with authority matrix.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 15–18 years of experience in tender management, contract risk review, or commercial risk advisory.
- Strong understanding of contract law principles and commercial risk allocation.
- Proven experience in large-scale projects, preferably within construction, engineering, energy, or industrial sectors.
- Experience working within structured governance and delegation of authority frameworks.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related field.
- Professional certification, Certified Risk Management Professional, or equivalent is an advantage.
