Job Purpose-

To deal with financial transactions like cash, cheque at the counter in efficient and courteous manner that projects a good image of the bank’s services ensuring adherence to banks policies, ethics, and code of conduct.

Job Accountabilities –

Manage customer cash deposits and withdrawal requests including receiving cash and cheques, verifying accuracy of information detailed on deposit slips, signatures, and availability of sufficient funds to ensure accurate financial management and adherence to established procedures.

Provide efficient customer service by reducing the customer waiting and service time.

Provide customers with competent, timely and error free service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Reconcile cash drawer by providing cash transaction reports and counting cash.

Maintain supply of cash and currency and return excess cash and mutilated currency to head teller.

Cross sell or identify and refer product inquiries from customers to concerned staff.

Follow all established Banks policies, operating manuals, service quality standards and code of conduct for smooth workflow and low level of operational risks.

Strive to eliminate the risk of cash difference by ensuring compliance to the banks cash control procedure as well as Central bank requirements

Submit departmental statements and reports to his superiors timely and accurately to meet branch operations requirements, comply with policies, and standards.

Print daily transaction reports and cross verify to ensure Zero loss and error.

Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks assigned by Superiors.

Show willingness to work as a replacement within the branch in other functions to learn more banking operations.

Teller reports to the Cash Supervisor and confers with the latter on critical and strategic issues.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills-

High School Graduate / 10th Pass / Secondary School Certificate.

1 – 3 years of experience in the banking / financial sector.

Accuracy & attention to details

Quick and Efficient

Cash Handling and mathematics

Skilled at receiving and processing banking transactions.

Ledger balancing

Cash Drawer Maintenance

Pleasing personality

Good English communication skill. Communication in Arabic and other recognized languages is an advantage.

Good interpersonal skills

Ability to work well in a team and in multicultural environment.

Ability to work under pressure
