Position Overview:
The interior designer will work closely with senior designers and project managers to assist in all aspects of the design process, from conceptualization to project completion. This role requires a creative mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients. The ideal candidate will be passionate about design and eager to learn and grow in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with senior designers to develop innovative design concepts that meet client requirements and project goals.
Assist in creating mood boards, concept presentations, and design proposals to communicate design ideas effectively to clients.
Conduct research on materials, finishes, and furnishings to support the design concept and enhance the overall aesthetic of the space.
Produce detailed drawings, renderings, and specifications using CAD software to illustrate design concepts and assist in the preparation of construction documents.
Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the timely procurement and installation of materials and furnishings.
Participate in site visits and meetings to monitor project progress, address design issues, and ensure adherence to design intent and quality standards.
Assist in reviewing shop drawings, samples, and mock-ups to ensure compliance with design specifications and client expectations.
Support project managers in preparing project schedules, budgets, and reports to track project milestones and expenses.
Contribute to the development of marketing materials, social media content, and presentations to showcase the firm’s portfolio and attract new clients.
Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in interior design to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in interior design or a related field from an accredited institution.
1-3 years of relevant experience in interior design, preferably in a design firm or architectural practice.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other design software.
Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and multitask on multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and industry standards.
Creative flair, passion for design, and attention to detail.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges and opportunities.
