Job Title: Head Chef (Italian & Continental Cuisine)

Job Location: Business Bay Dubai Reports To: Restaurant Owner Department: Kitchen / Culinary

Role Definition:

The Head Chef is responsible for overseeing the entire kitchen operations, specializing in Italian and Continental cuisine. This includes menu planning, food preparation, staff management, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The Head Chef plays a crucial role in enhancing customer satisfaction through high-quality culinary experiences while optimizing kitchen efficiency and profitability.

Key Tasks and Activities:

Menu Development & Innovation:
Design and develop authentic Italian and Continental dishes.
Innovate seasonal menus based on customer preferences and market trends.
Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning of dishes.
Food Preparation & Quality Control:
Supervise food preparation and cooking to maintain high standards.
Ensure adherence to recipes and food presentation guidelines.
Conduct regular taste tests and quality assessments.
Kitchen Operations & Inventory Management:
Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth functioning.
Manage stock levels and oversee ordering of fresh ingredients.
Control food wastage and optimize cost efficiency.
Team Leadership & Staff Management:
Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff.
Create work schedules and assign responsibilities.
Foster a positive and professional kitchen environment.
Health, Safety, and Hygiene Compliance:
Ensure the kitchen adheres to food safety and sanitation regulations.
Conduct regular hygiene and safety audits.
Implement proper food storage and waste disposal methods.
Customer Engagement & Feedback Management:
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to understand customer preferences.
Address and resolve any customer complaints related to food quality.
Innovate dishes based on customer feedback.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Oversee the preparation of Italian and Continental cuisine with consistency and excellence.
Lead the kitchen team to deliver high-quality meals efficiently.
Maintain food costs and kitchen expenses within budgetary guidelines.
Work closely with suppliers to ensure the best quality ingredients.
Ensure proper maintenance and operation of kitchen equipment.
Develop training programs for kitchen staff to improve skills and efficiency.
Collaborate with management to achieve business goals and profitability.
Stay updated with culinary trends and introduce new techniques and dishes.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED6,000.00 – AED12,000.00 per month
