Job Description
The successful candidate will:
Speak clearly, distinctly, and with a friendly, courteous tone.
Use listening skills to put callers at ease and obtain accurate, complete information.
Answer incoming calls and direct them to guest rooms, hotel personnel, or departments.
Take and distribute messages for guests, provide information on guest services, and answer inquiries about hotel events.
Place outgoing calls and log wake-up call requests.
Provide information about hotel services and understand switchboard operations.
Provide paging services for guests and employees.
Know how to handle emergency calls and report equipment issues.
Follow telephone etiquette and assist in training new operators.
Adhere to health, safety, fire, and bomb threat procedures.
Perform multitasking, including other duties as assigned.
Maintain polite and courteous communication at all times.
Manage hotel front office software functions, keep call records, and update directories.
Process guest wake-up calls efficiently.
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year experience in Rooms or related professional area within a luxury hotel.
Proven track record in high-class lifestyle resort hotels.
