We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Global Services Energy, Qatar for a

Telecom Engineer

Job Purpose

Support the maintenance, reliability, and availability of telecom systems in offshore Oil & Gas operations while ensuring safe and efficient execution of maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain telecom maintenance plans and procedures.
• Manage telecom assets, spare parts, and inventory.
• Provide telecom design, engineering, and installation support.
• Support onboarding of new operational maintenance services.
• Review and update drawings and layouts for equipment installations.
• Coordinate space, power supply, cable routing, and equipment location requirements.
• Contribute to risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company safety and operational standards

Your profile

Higher Secondary School Education with a 3-year Technical Diploma or Degree (HNC, HND, or equivalent).
Minimum 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical facilities.
At least 5 years of offshore telecom maintenance experience.
Knowledge of telecom systems, maintenance planning, and installation activities.
Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Ability to work independently and in a multicultural environment.
