TELE-CONTROL / SCADA ENGINEER – WATER CONTROL SYSTEM

Work Schedule: 5 Days per Week
Working Hours: 8 Hours/Day, with emergency call-out support as required
Salary & Benefits:
- Option 1: QAR 4,750–5,000 + Accommodation + Transportation + Other Benefits
- Option 2: Full Package QAR 6,000–6,500 + Transportation (Accommodation not included)
Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, or Automation Engineering from a reputed university.
Experience & Technical Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant experience in water utilities, EPC contractors, or automation companies.
- Hands-on experience in PLC/RTU programming, preferably with:
- Siemens
- Schneider
- ABB
- Other major OEMs
- Proven experience in SCADA configuration, including systems such as:
- Siemens WinCC
- Yokogawa
- Schneider EcoStruxure
- GE iFIX
- Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols:
- Modbus
- Profibus
- Profinet
- DNP3
- OPC-UA
- Ethernet/IP
- Experience with field instrumentation, including:
- Flow meters
- Pressure instruments
- Level instruments
- Water quality analyzers
- Knowledge of industrial cybersecurity and cybersecurity practices for critical infrastructure.
- Experience in commissioning, FAT, SAT, troubleshooting, and O&M support.
- Strong knowledge of applicable international standards such as ISA, IEC 62443, and ISO 27001, as well as relevant local regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain SCADA, PLC, RTU, control systems, and automation systems for water facilities.
- Provide technical support for water treatment plants, pumping stations, RPS, DMA systems, and water distribution networks.
- Perform system operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, integration, and optimization.
- Configure and troubleshoot PLC, RTU, SCADA, communication networks, and industrial protocols.
- Support system integration between field equipment, PLC/RTU systems, SCADA, and central control systems.
- Participate in FAT, SAT, commissioning, testing, and system handover activities.
- Troubleshoot field instrumentation and control system issues.
- Maintain and update SCADA/control system documentation, drawings, configuration records, and technical reports.
- Ensure control systems comply with applicable cybersecurity requirements and standards.
- Support cybersecurity compliance for critical water infrastructure.
- Coordinate with electrical, instrumentation, mechanical, civil, IT, and other multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide emergency technical support and call-out assistance when required.
General Requirements
- Excellent English communication and technical reporting skills; Arabic is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Good project coordination and management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Must successfully pass the Authorization Interview and qualify as an Authorized Person.
Pay: QAR6,000.00 – QAR6,500.00 per month
