Technician Tyreman Jobs in Doha, Qatar at Mekdam Technical Services
Purpose:
Repair and maintenance of tires to ensure reusability, enhance performance, extend lifespan, and segregate tires based on condition for recycling or disposal.
Accountabilities:
Lift the vehicle using appropriate lifting equipment such as a hydraulic lift or jack to remove the wheel.
Dismantle all types of wheels from the vehicle to repair punctures.
Identify the cause of punctures, inspect, and repair to enable reuse of the tire.
Check and match the depth of tires to ensure uniform wear and tear.
Perform tire rotation as recommended to maintain balance, handling, traction, and performance.
Balance wheels to prevent bouncing due to vibrations, ensure smooth operation, increase traction, and prolong tire life.
Inspect and segregate tires based on condition and manufacturing date for reuse, retreading, or disposal.
Maintain records of completed jobs in a logbook and fill out job cards after each job to keep a history of work done.
Education:
Basic reading and writing skills, up to primary level.
Experience:
2-3 years of experience in tire-related jobs such as manufacturing, retreading, or repair and maintenance.
Training:
Wheel balancing and puncture repair training.
Knowledge:
Knowledge of tire sizes and brands for different types of vehicles.
