The Golf Buggy Guy (TGBG) is a UAE-based company specializing in the sales, service, and repair of golf buggies and electric carts. We’re growing our workshop team and looking for a reliable, hands-on Technician to join us.
About the Role
We’re looking for a mid-level Technician to carry out mechanical and electrical repairs, maintenance, and diagnostics on golf buggies in our workshop. This role suits someone with solid hands-on experience who can work independently on standard repairs and is ready to keep building their skills toward more advanced diagnostics and mobile fieldwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and standard mechanical repairs and maintenance on golf buggies
- Carry out basic to intermediate electrical diagnostics and repairs
- Service and maintain flooded lead-acid battery systems
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment (multimeter, clamp meter)
- Use lifting equipment, jacks, and torque tools correctly and safely
- Complete job cards accurately and on time
- Follow all workshop safety procedures, including electrical safety practices
- Work effectively as part of a team and manage time to meet daily job targets
- Escalate complex electrical, controller, or high-voltage issues to senior technicians as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience as a mechanical/electrical technician, ideally with golf buggies, small EVs, or similar equipment
- Working knowledge of basic-to-intermediate electrical systems and battery systems
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment
- Functional spoken and written English
- Strong understanding of workshop and electrical safety practices
- Good teamwork and time management skills
- Willingness to complete company safety and role-specific induction training
Nice to Have
- High-voltage safety certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience with lithium/BMS/CANbus battery systems
- Prior experience completing technical job cards or reports
