Monitor and assess the condition of lifting equipment, ensuring it is properly maintained, inspected, and compliant with safety standards.
Assist in developing lifting plans, including selecting appropriate lifting equipment and identifying potential hazards.
Oversee the rigging and slinging of loads, ensuring all equipment is used correctly and safely.
Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures to mitigate lifting-related hazards.
Ensure all lifting operations are carried out in accordance with relevant regulations, including local safety standards and company procedures.
Maintain accurate records of equipment inspections, lifting plans, and safety checks.
Provide on-the-job training to less experienced lifting crew members and ensure compliance with safety practices.
Investigate any lifting incidents or near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Liaise with site managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure lifting operations integrate smoothly with other site activities.
