We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Draftsman specializing in Fit out and Joinery to join our team. As a Draftsman, you will play a crucial role in the successful execution of high-end residential and commercial projects by creating detailed shop drawings and collaborating closely with the Fit out, Joinery team, and site engineers. Your expertise in producing accurate and practical drawings will contribute to the overall success of our projects.
Responsibilities:
Create detailed and precise shop drawings for Interior Fit out and joinery projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
Collaborate with the Fit out, Joinery team, and site engineers to ensure successful execution of projects.
Communicate effectively and fluently in English, both written and verbal.
Work closely with the design and project management teams to understand project specifications, requirements, and deadlines.
Proactively identify discrepancies between site conditions, materials, and drawings, and propose practical solutions.
Act quickly and efficiently when required changes arise due to site conditions or material availability.
Prepare freehand section details for the on-site team, ensuring accurate and practical execution.
Execute designs to practical sizes and materials, considering functionality, aesthetics, and project constraints.
Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and cutting lists, contributing to accurate cost estimations.
Create as-built drawings based on site conditions and changes during the construction process.
Prepare transmittals and drawing submissions for approvals from Dubai Municipality (DM) and Community Management.
Stay updated with industry standards, materials, finishes, and joinery techniques to enhance design and execution.
Demonstrate a proactive and go-getter attitude, taking initiative and contributing to the overall success of the team.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in successful execution of high-end residential, hotel, and commercial Fitout projects.
Fluency in English, with strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
IT literate and proficient in relevant software for drafting and documentation.
Ability to work industry timings as per project requirements, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Practical knowledge of industry standards in finishes and joinery, ensuring compliance and quality.
Ability to foresee discrepancies between site conditions, materials, and drawings, proposing practical solutions.
Experience in preparing freehand section details and executing designs to practical sizes and materials.
Knowledge of creating Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and cutting lists, contributing to cost estimations.
Familiarity with preparing as-built drawings based on site conditions and changes during construction.
Experience in preparing transmittals and drawing submissions for DM and Community Management approvals.
Diploma in Design, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred.
Valid UAE Driving License is required.
