Roles and responsibilities
- Prepare project initiation documents (Project charter, Project management plan, stakeholder register, kick off deck etc.)
- Define and prepare detailed project plans, timelines, resource allocations, and budgets.
- Prepare the Scope of work for implementing IT projects.
- Conduct assessment of existing systems and applications.
- Conduct projects kick off meeting with Vendor, IT and Business.
- Work closely with infrastructure, network, security, and application teams to design and implement solutions.
- Coordinate implementation of enterprise tools (e.g., monitoring, backup, automation, ITSM, DR orchestration tools).
- Ensure dependencies across systems (compute, storage, network, applications) are identified and managed.
- Lead the design and rollout of strategies for implementation for DR and other IT projects.
- Coordinate internal stakeholders and vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
- Plan and execute the UAT, Drills and ensure deliverables meet SLA and technical expectations.
- Govern change management processes for infrastructure and DR changes.
- Tracks and reports all active projects from time, cost and scope point of view, from initiation to closure and handover.
- Ensure regular and optimal communication with all stakeholders. Provide project updates on a consistent basis to IT/ Business Leadership
- Collaborate with Business stakeholders and IT to facilitate timely project decisions and on time closure of projects.
- Manage escalations and ensure that issues are resolved.
- Enforce best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in project management.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- PMP, Scrum Master, or Agile Product Owner certifications preferred.
- Proven experience in delivering IT Infrastructure and digital transformation projects, especially disaster recovery implementation.
- Good understanding of Cloud domain, networking, application architecture and security tools.
- Familiarity with enterprise IT systems such as ERP, ITSM, Backup and recovery tools, WAF, Monitoring tools, etc.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver technology projects in an agile environment.
- Experience in working with Project management tools like JIRA, MS Projects, Confluence, Primavera etc.
- Ability to operate effectively and autonomously across multiple with only high-level direction.
- Experience of creating project charter, project management plan, project benefits report and status update report.
