Al Marwan Group is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Technical Office Engineer to join our team and support the successful execution of roads and infrastructure projects across the UAE. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in civil engineering, excellent organizational skills, and a deep understanding of UAE construction standards.
This role will be responsible for overseeing technical documentation, coordinating with consultants and project teams, supporting site operations, and ensuring full compliance with regulatory and project-specific requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Submittals & Approvals
Prepare and review material submittals, shop drawings, method statements, and inspection test plans (ITPs).
Liaise with consultants and clients to obtain necessary approvals.
Monitor and track submittals to ensure timely processing.
Technical Support
Provide on-site technical assistance and resolve engineering queries.
Interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Draft technical reports and presentations as needed.
Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to technical requirements.
Assist with Requests for Information (RFIs) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
Coordination & Communication
Attend coordination meetings and contribute technical insights.
Facilitate effective communication among all internal and external project stakeholders.
Document Control & Management
Implement and maintain a document control system for all project-related documentation.
Ensure accurate distribution and archiving of drawings, specifications, submittals, and correspondence.
Maintain a comprehensive register of technical and contractual documents.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in roads and infrastructure projects within the UAE (RAK experience is advantageous).
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant engineering software.
Solid understanding of UAE construction standards, regulations, and procedures.
Experience in FIDIC contract administration is preferred.
Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in English is essential; Arabic language skills are an added advantage.
UAE driver’s license is preferred but not mandatory.
