We are conducting a search on behalf of a major offshore drilling operator in Saudi Arabia for a Senior Manager – Technical to lead strategic and technical oversight of fleet equipment, maintenance, and reliability across offshore rig operations.
Role Overview:
This role owns the strategic and technical direction of the fleet’s maintenance and reliability function — spanning CMMS, well control, Field Support, and capital equipment management — while driving compliance, longevity, and continuous improvement initiatives across the offshore asset base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Technical Support, Well Control, and Maintenance & Reliability department strategy, goals, and standards
- Manage department budgets, resources, and tools
- Oversee SAP CMMS implementation and standardized maintenance practices fleet-wide
- Direct offshore Field Support teams supporting rig-based mechanical, electrical, and well control integrity
- Develop 5-year equipment inspection and maintenance philosophies
- Provide strategic technical input into annual maintenance budgets
- Lead equipment downtime incident investigations and corrective actions
- Evaluate new technologies for rig implementation
- Support SPS, reactivation, and upgrade projects across the fleet
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in Oil & Gas, including 5+ years in a Technical Managerial role
- Proven leadership in Offshore Technical Troubleshooting, Maintenance & Project Management
Skills:
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and team development capability
- Advanced technical problem-solving across offshore fleet operations
- Advanced Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Project proficiency
- Working knowledge of document control systems and databases
