We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager with a strong background in the construction industry to lead and manage all technical aspects of construction projects. The ideal candidate must hold a degree in Architecture and be MMUP-registered, with proven expertise in design coordination, technical compliance, and site execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all technical and architectural aspects of construction projects from design development through project completion.
- Review, coordinate, and approve architectural drawings, shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
- Ensure compliance with MMUP regulations, local authority requirements, building codes, and industry standards.
- Coordinate with consultants, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to resolve technical and design issues.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and site staff.
- Monitor site activities to ensure construction works align with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Identify design conflicts and propose effective technical solutions to minimize delays and cost overruns.
- Participate in project planning, value engineering, and risk assessment activities.
- Attend technical meetings with clients, consultants, and authorities, and prepare technical reports as required.
- Ensure timely approvals from authorities and smooth coordination during inspections.
- Support project handover, as-built documentation, and defect resolution.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
- UPDA/MMUP Engineering Registered.
- Minimum 15 years of proven experience in the construction industry, preferably in large-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, building systems, and detailing.
- Experience in design coordination, technical reviews, and authority approvals.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, and familiarity with BIM tools (Revit) is an advantage.
- Excellent understanding of local building codes, regulations, and approval processes.
