Head of Technical Office (Furniture & Wood Components)
Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Technical Office Head to oversee and execute all technical office activities, including the preparation of shop drawings and technical designs for furniture and wood components. Lead and manage the technical team to ensure high-quality execution drawings and technical specifications, supporting both manufacturing and project implementation, while adhering to the highest engineering and quality standards.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1.Supervise and execute all technical office activities, including the preparation of shop drawings and technical designs for furniture and wood components.
2.Review and analyze technical designs to ensure accuracy, feasibility, and manufacturability before approval.
3.Collaborate with project managers to ensure design alignment with project schedules and client requirements.
4.Provide technical support for projects by preparing detailed drawings, bill of quantities (BOQ), and cost estimations.
5.Prepare manufacturing orders and coordinate with production teams to ensure efficient execution.
6.Work closely with the production department to ensure compatibility between designs, machine capabilities, and available materials.
7.Prepare materials and component lists, coordinating with the procurement department to ensure timely availability.
8.Coordinate with quality teams to ensure compliance with required specifications and standards.
9.Offer technical solutions and consultancy to resolve issues arising during production or implementation.
10.Enhance technical office workflows and adopt best practices to achieve high efficiency and quality.
11.Lead and guide a team of engineers, draftsmen, and technicians, ensuring effective task distribution.
12.Identify training and professional development needs for the team to keep up with technical advancements in furniture and wood industry.
13.Manage and prepare the consultant approval file, including technical documents, specifications, data sheets, and material approvals to ensure project compliance with regulatory and consultancy standards.
14.Provide training on technical software and tools to develop the skills of engineering and production teams.
15.Code and register products in the system to ensure accurate tracking and full documentation of all manufactured products.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
· Minimum 7 years of experience in technical and engineering design roles.
· Proficiency in engineering design software.
· Strong leadership and management skills.
· Ability to solve problems and make quick decisions.
· Experience in project management, manufacturing, installation of wooden products, and material selection.
· Knowledge of quality standards in furniture and wood manufacturing.
· Familiarity with different types of wood and raw materials used in production.
