We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Engineer to join our construction team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, construction methodologies, and project execution, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a construction company in the UAE. The Technical Engineer will be responsible for coordinating technical aspects of construction projects, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Coordination: Assist in reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and shop drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Site Support: Provide technical support to the site team, resolving construction challenges and ensuring smooth execution.
Project Planning: Assist in preparing construction schedules, method statements, and material submittals.
Compliance & Regulations: Ensure all works comply with UAE construction laws, safety regulations, and project specifications.
Liaison & Communication: Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and suppliers for technical requirements and approvals.
Quality Control: Monitor and ensure high-quality construction execution in line with project standards.
Design & Technical Review: Assist in reviewing architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to ensure alignment with project requirements and feasibility.
Value Engineering: Identify cost-effective solutions and improvements without compromising quality and safety standards.
Site Inspections: Conduct regular site visits to monitor work progress, ensure adherence to specifications, and identify technical issues.
Risk Assessment: Evaluate potential technical and engineering risks, proposing mitigation strategies to minimize delays and safety concerns.
Material Selection & Approval: Support in material selection, technical submittals, and approvals to meet project and client requirements.
Subcontractor Coordination: Work closely with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure technical compliance and quality assurance.
Testing & Commissioning: Assist in pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, ensuring proper functionality and system integration.
Reporting & Documentation: Prepare progress reports, technical reports, and maintain project records for audits and client updates.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in a construction company in the UAE.
Technical Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD, Primavera, MS Office, and engineering software.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of UAE construction laws, regulations, and technical standards.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; Arabic is an advantage.
Driving License: A valid UAE driver’s license is preferred.
