Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Tax Manager to join our team in Doha. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of tax compliance, planning, and advisory to ensure full adherence to Qatar tax regulations while optimizing the organization’s tax position.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee corporate tax compliance, filings, and reporting in accordance with Qatar tax laws and regulations
- Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies to optimize financial performance
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the business
- Manage tax audits, inquiries, and correspondence with regulatory authorities
- Ensure accurate preparation and submission of VAT and other applicable tax returns
- Provide tax guidance to internal stakeholders on business transactions and structuring
- Collaborate with finance teams to ensure proper tax accounting treatment
- Identify and mitigate tax risks while maintaining compliance standards
- Support transfer pricing documentation and related compliance requirements where applicable
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CTA, or equivalent) preferred
- Minimum of 7+ years of progressive tax experience, ideally in a corporate or advisory environment
- Strong knowledge of Qatar tax regulations and IFRS
- Experience in VAT compliance and corporate tax advisory
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical tax skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax matters clearly
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
