We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated fresh graduate to join our tax compliance team as a Junior Tax Examiner. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about public finance, taxation, and regulatory compliance. You will assist in reviewing tax filings, verifying financial data, and ensuring adherence to tax laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in examining tax returns and financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.
- Support senior examiners in conducting audits and investigations.
- Identify discrepancies or potential fraud in tax filings and escalate findings.
- Maintain accurate documentation and prepare reports on audit findings.
- Communicate with taxpayers to request additional information or clarification.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to build technical knowledge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Basic understanding of tax principles and financial reporting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
