Job Responsibilities
Conduct thorough VAT compliance reviews to ensure accurate filing and adherence to local regulations. Â Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time to avoid penalties and optimize cash flow. Â Analyze and interpret VAT legislation changes to provide strategic advice to clients on compliance and planning. Â Assist clients in conducting VAT audits and resolving disputes with tax authorities effectively.
Provide training and support to internal teams and clients on VAT processes and best practices. Â Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure seamless integration of VAT processes. Â Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their unique VAT challenges and needs. Â Prepare detailed reports on VAT compliance status and provide actionable insights for improvement. Â Monitor and manage VAT-related risks to protect clients from potential financial liabilities.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance VAT services offered.
Desired Candidate Profile
Should be a Tax Agent. Â Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
advanced degrees
or certifications are a plus. Â At least 3 years of
hands-on experience
in VAT compliance and advisory roles within a recognized firm. Â Certification as a Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) or equivalent qualification is highly desirable. Â Experience working in a multinational corporation or
diverse
industry sectors enhances candidate appeal.
Open to candidates of any nationality, with a preference for those familiar with local VAT laws. Â Fluency in Arabic is required; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage for client interactions. Â Proficient in accounting software and VAT compliance tools, ensuring efficiency in handling VAT processes. Â Strong
analytical skills
to interpret complex tax regulations and identify optimal solutions. Â Excellent
communication skills
, both verbal and written, to effectively convey VAT concepts to clients.
