Position Overview
The Tax Accountant will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with local tax regulations, preparing accurate tax filings, and supporting the company’s overall tax strategy. This role requires strong technical expertise, analytical thinking, and a commitment to precision in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit tax returns in compliance with Qatar tax regulations
- Ensure timely and accurate VAT filings and related documentation
- Maintain detailed records of all tax-related transactions
- Monitor changes in tax laws and assess their impact on the organization
- Support tax planning initiatives to optimize compliance and efficiency
- Assist in audits, inquiries, and communication with tax authorities
- Reconcile tax accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate tax reporting in financial statements
- Prepare tax reports and provide insights to management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in tax accounting or compliance role
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations, particularly VAT and corporate tax
- Proficiency in accounting systems and advanced Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical abilities
- Ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
