Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Tax Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling tax compliance, preparing tax filings, and ensuring adherence to local tax regulations. The role requires strong analytical skills and up-to-date knowledge of tax laws, particularly within the UAE.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with UAE tax regulations
- Ensure accurate and timely filing of all tax-related documents
- Maintain proper documentation for tax audits and reviews
- Reconcile tax accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Monitor changes in tax laws and ensure company compliance
- Assist in corporate tax calculations and reporting
- Coordinate with internal departments and external auditors/tax consultants
- Support in handling FTA (Federal Tax Authority) requirements and inquiries
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2–4 years of experience in tax accounting (preferably in the UAE)
- Strong knowledge of VAT and UAE tax regulations
- Experience with ERP systems is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Good communication skills in English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience dealing with the FTA portal
- Knowledge of Corporate Tax in the UAE
- Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is an advantage
