The
Purpose
of the Role
Thepurposeof this role is to lead the project engineering function at Engineering Centre level, to ensure Honeywell delivers best in class solutions to meet customer expectations whilst achieving safety, quality, schedule and financial goals. Lead the technical execution, functional and engineering management disciplines necessary to enhance the competitive position of Honeywell to meet growth objectives. Manage the engineering workforce within the assigned Project for optimum execution examples being increase of GES or other back office content and to grant proper location/skill set of resources.
Manage to key targeted metrics e.g. over/under utilization, average engineering cost. Ensure delivery excellence through standardizing on best practice. Manage EC based on engineering office with critical mass & knowledge.
Responsibilities
Responsibility for the Engineering and Workforce planning within the assigned Project (Engineering Centre)
Support staffing of engineering workforce utilized by the Project Organization andProject Management.
Assembling high performance teams and driving ongoing improvement in Skills & Effectiveness
Ensuring effective performance management processes, development of future management/engineering capabilities with attractive career plans
Drive planning, coordination and execution of the Projects Engineering within the local organization
Ensures the availability of tools, equipment and materials required to drive productivity in engineering
Responsible for functional management of local engineering teams to ensure business goals and objectives are met and key operations strategies are implemented
Plan, develop and support staffing of key personnel for the engineering organizations through a robust and effective SIOP process
Participate in AOP processes and provideleadershipto execute on agreed plans
Be a change agent – influence, consult, and lead efforts for sharing and standardizing of best practices and processes
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or great experience in ELV Systems Engineering
Appropriate technical/business qualification for role
Six Sigma Certification
Green Belt Project Execution
Previous experience working with highly complex electronic security/building management systems solutions
Critical Control Room Operation Engineering Experience Required
