Job Vacancy: Assistant Safety Officer with Construction Experience
Location: Sharjah
Employment Type: Full Time
Required Experiences: atleast 2 years in Construction Field
Salary: 1800 to 2000 AED
To strengthen our safety team, we are looking for a dedicated Assistant Safety Officer to support our Safety Officer in implementing and enforcing health and safety standards on-site.
Job Responsibilities:
✔ Assist in conducting safety inspections and identifying potential hazards on-site.
✔ Support in implementing safety policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance.
✔ Assist in delivering toolbox talks and safety training sessions for workers.
✔ Help in investigating accidents, incidents, and near-misses and maintaining proper documentation.
✔ Ensure the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and enforce safety rules.
✔ Maintain records of safety audits, reports, and risk assessments.
✔ Coordinate with site supervisors and workers to promote a strong safety culture.
✔ Assist in emergency preparedness planning and response activities.
Qualifications & Requirements:
✅ Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
✅ Minimum 2 years of experience in a construction safety role.
✅ Certification in Occupational Health & Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH, DOLE-COSH) is an advantage.
✅ Knowledge of construction safety standards and local safety regulations.
✅ Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
✅ Ability to work under the supervision of the Safety Officer and follow safety protocols.
✅ Good communication and teamwork skills.
