Highly skilled System Acceptance/Commissioning Engineer – Electrical to oversee the commissioning, testing, and validation of electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or an international equivalent, and a recognized certification in building/electrical systems commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the system acceptance and commissioning process for electrical systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
Perform functional performance testing, system verification, and troubleshooting for electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and control systems.
Review and approve design documentation, installation procedures, and technical specifications.
Develop and execute commissioning plans, test scripts, and performance evaluation protocols.
Analyze test results and generate detailed reports with findings and recommendations.
Identify and resolve system deficiencies, ensuring all issues are properly documented and corrected.
Collaborate with contractors, project managers, engineers, and facility owners to coordinate commissioning activities.
Ensure adherence to electrical codes and industry standards such as IEC, IEEE, NFPA, and NEC.
Provide training and guidance to facility owners and operators on system functionality and maintenance.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical commissioning, energy efficiency, and smart building technologies.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education & Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or an internationally recognized equivalent.
Experience
Minimum 5+ years in electrical system commissioning, testing, or quality assurance roles.
Special Skills
Technical Skills:
Expertise in power distribution, switch gear, transformers, UPS, and electrical panels.
Proficiency in relay protection testing, grounding systems, and emergency power systems.
Familiarity with building automation, SCADA, and electrical monitoring systems.
Ability to use testing equipment such as power analyzers, insulation resistance testers, and relay test sets.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
