We are excited to announce an opportunity for a
Sustainability
Consultant to work with our Dubai based
Interdisciplinary
Design Research (IDR) team on some of the most
exciting
architecture and masterplanning projects in the Middle East and International market. Â As it stands, the opportunity is on a part-time freelance basis, working remotely, with the potential of extending this opportunity to full-time employment depending on the candidate’s performance.
Please see below for more information.  Qualifications  2+ years of experience in sustainable design consultation  Bachelor’s Degree or above in Architecture, Engineering, Environmental Engineering or other related field  Experience in
Sustainability
Rating Systems, such as LEED, WELL, Estidama and/or Mostadam
Experience with
IES Building Physics Software    Personal Qualities  Self-motivated  Team player  Capable of
multitasking
and working on multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision  Capable of handling pressure while working remotely  Understands and respects corporate discipline and internationally recognised business etiquette    Skills & Knowledge
Experience of
the Middle East environment and market
Sustainability
consultancy for masterplans and building designs  Excellent written and verbal
communication skills
Ability to produce conceptual sketches and diagrams  Capable of formulating professional and engaging reports and PowerPoint presentations with minimal supervision  Demonstrated ability to perform independent research on state-of-the-art technologies and design methods  Demonstrated technical knowledge of Sustainable strategies, including renewable energy and building physics  Knowledge of human comfort, health, and
wellness
Knowledge of current
Sustainability
simulation tools and the ability to coordinate with Energy Modellers  Knowledge of HVAC systems and heat transfer principles    Responsibilities  Working on
Sustainability
Rating System processes for major masterplan and building design projects  Assist in formulating bespoke
Sustainability
strategies  Assist in conducting
Sustainability
studies including (but not limited to) solar shading, lighting, ventilation, carbon emissions etc.
Assist in developing
Sustainability
solutions and features like shading elements, air treatment systems, microclimate etc. Â Assist in formulating
Sustainability
reports and PowerPoint presentations  Meet project team representatives and coordinate
Sustainability
strategies and solutions    Preferred / Bonus  Energy modelling experience  Computation and parametric design experience  Active participation in professional organisations leading Sustainable or Green Building initiatives  Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign    We look forward to hearing from potential candidates.
