Surveyor Assistant Jobs in Doha, Qatar at BIN ARBAID GROUP
We are seeking two (2) Surveyor Assistants tojoin our team.
The Surveyor Assistants will support surveyors in conducting surveys, gathering data, and ensuring accuracy in measurements for various projects. This position requires a strong understanding of basic surveying techniques, excellentattention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in ateam environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in Field Surveys:
Assist in undertaking field surveys for new, replacement, or maintenance works to identify and record the location of KAHRAMAA assets, as well as other underground and surface features.
Support in marking boundaries, landmarks, and locations on-site with accuracy.
Survey Data Collection:
Support the surveyor in measuring and recording land, building, or infrastructure dimensions using various surveying tools and instruments.
Assist in compiling notes, reports, sketches, and records of data obtained during surveys.
Set Up Survey Equipment:
Assist in setting up and calibrating surveying instruments such as levels, theodolites, total stations, and GPS systems.
Ensure all equipment is functioning properly before and after fieldwork.
SurveyEquipment Maintenance:
Assist the Surveyor in the maintenance and upkeep of survey equipment, ensuring that tools and instruments are properly stored, cleaned, and calibrated.
Data Entry and Processing:
Assist in processing survey data, including transferring information to computer software for analysis, drafting, and generating reports.
Help in preparing survey reports, sketches, and maps under the surveyor’s guidance.
Coordinate with Survey Team:
Work closely with surveyors and other field staff to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
Help in organizing equipment, supplies, and documents for fieldwork.
Ensure Compliance with Safety Standards:
Followsafety protocolsand wear proper protective equipment during field surveys.
Ensure safety standards are adhered to during on-site tasks.
Other Duties:
Perform any other related duties as required by the surveyor or supervisor.
Qualifications &
Experience:
Educational Requirements:Completion of SecondaryEducation(High School).
Experience:A minimum of three (3) years of proven experience in a similar surveying or fieldwork-related role.
Skills & Knowledge:
Basic knowledge of surveying tools and techniques.
Familiarity with data collection, processing, and recording methods.
Strongattention to detailand accuracy.
Ability to read and interpret maps, drawings, and technical documents.
Good physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Personal Attributes:
Strongcommunicationskillsand the ability to work effectively in a team.
Dependable, organized, and capable of handling multiple tasks at once.
Ability to follow instructions and work under the direction of senior surveyors.
Work Environment:
Primarily outdoor fieldwork, with occasional office-based tasks for data processing and report preparation.
Must be willing to travel to different survey sites as needed.
