Support Officer – Whole Sale Banking Jobs in Doha at Vistas Global

1. Role Objective

The OMC Operations Officer is responsible for accurately processing a variety of account opening and maintenance-related instructions, maintaining data accuracy, and supporting the day-to-day operational activities of the organization. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to work with various departments to ensure compliance with company policies and QCB regulations.

2. Detailed Roles and Responsibilities

2.1 Processing of Instructions & Reconciliation

  • Process daily account opening and maintenance applications, including for Retail and Corporate Businesses, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Verify and validate application details to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues related to instructions, coordinating with relevant departments as needed.
  • Ensure timely execution of account opening and maintenance applications in accordance with agreed SLA cut-off times.
  • Ensure all account opening and maintenance instructions are accurately recorded in bank systems (e.g. FLOW, CRP, T24) and that discrepancies are reported and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Timely checking of processing queues to ensure all account opening and maintenance instructions are executed and captured in banking systems (e.g. FLOW, CRP, T24).
  • Assist in daily reconciliation of physical applications received vs. sessions created on FLOW and CRP.
  • Identify and resolve errors related to account opening and maintenance instructions (rejected cases).
  • Collaborate with AMU colleagues and Branches to rectify exceptions and discrepancies promptly.
  • Perform any additional responsibilities as delegated.

2.2 Compliance, Risk and Controls

  • Adhere to all regulatory guidelines and internal policies related to account opening and maintenance instructions processing.
  • Ensure that all daily instructions comply with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory and Sharia requirements.
  • Identify and report any suspicious activities or transactions in accordance with AML and internal policies.
  • Execute monthly RCSA in a timely manner and assist in managing operational risks within OMC operations.
  • Assist in identifying and analyzing potential risks related to OMC operations and report any concerns to management.
  • Ensure the daily control functional checklist is duly filled and executed.
  • Participate in regular reviews of OMC policies and procedures, and implement best banking practices in OMC operations.

2.3 Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to OMC operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist in reporting and documentation for audits and regulatory purposes.

2.4 Customer Service & Support

  • Provide high-quality support to clients and internal stakeholders concerning account opening and maintenance instructions.
  • Provide differentiated service to high-value clients for their account opening and maintenance-related instructions (e.g. Private Bank clients).
  • Assist in responding promptly to internal and external inquiries.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to resolve OMC system issues.

2.5 Collaboration & Process Improvement

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the organization’s goals and initiatives.
  • Participate in regular process reviews to identify potential areas for improvement and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Participate in automation initiatives to streamline workflow and reduce manual processes.
  • Assist in the implementation of technology solutions or enhancements to streamline OMC operations.

2.6 Training and Development

  • Participate in and ensure timely completion of assigned training.
  • Stay updated with market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies that may impact OMC-related activities.

3. Competencies, Knowledge and Experience

3.1 Educational Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, with relevant experience in the Client Onboarding and Maintenance function.

3.2 Experience

  • 1–5 years of experience in Banking Operations or financial services preferred.
  • Proficiency in English & Arabic (language); strong computer knowledge (MS Office applications).

3.3 Behavioral Competencies

  • Proficiency in MS Office suite with strong analytical skills, including spreadsheet tools (e.g. Excel).
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements in OMC operations.
  • Ability to analyze transaction data and quickly identify discrepancies.

Pay: QAR6,000.00 – QAR6,500.00 per month
