Job Overview:

The Support Engineer will work in the support team to ensure the smooth operation, support, and maintenance of the Fuel Retail System across 120+ fuel stations and the Head Office. This includes overseeing system support for Back Office Systems, Point of Sale (POS) terminals, bank terminals, Card Management Systems, and all other relevant systems. The role requireshands-onexpertise in infrastructure management and experience in leading a team in a technical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

System & Infrastructure Support:

Provide support for MS SQL Server-based systems (Head Office, Back Office, POS).

Manage the support of the Card Management System.

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve all application, user, and system issues.

Ensure high performance of Retail systems across Head Office and all sites.

User & Client Support:

Liaise with users at Head Office and fuel stations to resolve technical issues.

Provide training and guidance to users on system functionalities as required.

Work closely with vendors and external support teams for any third-party system issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Expertise:

Background ininfrastructure support(networking, servers, storage, cloud, security).

Proficiency in managing and supportingMS SQL Serverenvironments.

Familiarity withPOS systems,bank terminals, etc.

Knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and other network management tools.

Experience in implementing, testing, configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting applications.

Experience in providing first point of contact technical support to end-users for IT-related issues.

Experience in writing queries and managing MS SQL and writing scripts.

Good understanding of Web Services, API, and IP-based protocols.

Experience:

Minimum3+ yearsof experience in IT support roles.

Experience working withretail systemsor similar environments with distributed sites.

Able to manage high-pressure situations and lead incident responses.

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently when required.

Other Requirements:

Has a valid QATAR residence.

Has a Qatar driving license and vehicle.

Other Considerations:

Willingness to travel to fuel stations as needed.

Ability to work in an on-call rotation, if necessary, to provide after-hours support.
