Role profile:

Ensuring seamless production processes through the management of schedules, coordination with various teams and availability of resources at a busy pharmaceutical production facility.

It is your responsibility to identify, anticipate and plan for market trends, inform purchasing activity and maintain suitable stock levels to account for business needs. Demonstrating excellent time management, deadlines and knowledge of material requirements, your input will ensure a slick production run.

Role requirements:

Maintain a long-term production schedule, considering sales forecasting and customer requirements.

Track and monitor inventory of raw materials, coordinate with Purchasing regarding delivery schedule and issue new purchase requisitions as required.

Monitor weekly production plans to ensure prioritisation for particular work orders.

Analysis of market trends, anticipation of stock levels based on existing and future business needs and forecasting for the Purchasing team as indicated by the Master Production Schedule (MPS).

Develop accurate documentation and planning processes to ensure material needs are consistently met; working closely with Warehouse, Purchasing, Procurement and Supply Chain teams to mitigate shortfalls and any risk.

Provide regular reporting models to Supply Chain Manager focusing on stock accuracy, availability and quality – and recommending corrective action to address shortfalls.

Train, coach and develop more junior members of the team.

Your background:

BSc or equivalent in Business Administration, Law, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management or closely related disciplines.

CPIM accreditation (Certificate in Production and Inventory Management) would be an advantage.

Significant industry background within a Production Planner role from the pharmaceutical sector (or other highly regulated sector such as Medical Device or Food).

Good working knowledge of ERP systems, strong MS Office command and well-versed with cGMP requirements.

Sound understanding of Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) systems and related software.

Experienced in use of statistical analysis packages, with strong analytical and reasoning skills.

Excellent interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills.
