Job Purpose
To lead and optimize the end-to-end supply chain function for the detergent business, including procurement, production planning, warehousing, and distribution. The role ensures cost efficiency, uninterrupted supply, quality compliance, and alignment with business growth strategies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives across sourcing, logistics, and inventory management.
- Lead supply chain transformation and digitalization initiatives.
2. Procurement & Sourcing
- Oversee sourcing of raw materials (chemicals, packaging, fragrances, additives).
- Establish and manage strategic supplier relationships locally and internationally.
- Ensure competitive pricing, quality standards, and compliance with regulations.
3. Production Planning & Inventory Management
- Lead demand planning, forecasting, and S&OP processes.
- Optimize inventory levels to balance working capital and service levels.
- Ensure alignment between production schedules and market demand.
4. Logistics & Distribution
- Manage warehousing, transportation, and distribution networks.
- Ensure timely delivery to customers and subsidiaries.
- Optimize logistics costs and improve delivery performance (OTIF).
5. Operations Coordination
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure smooth production flow.
- Ensure availability of raw materials to avoid production disruptions.
- Improve plant supply chain efficiency and reduce waste.
6. Compliance & Quality
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulations (SASO, SFDA if applicable).
- Maintain high standards in storage, handling, and transportation of chemicals.
- Implement risk management and contingency planning.
7. Performance Management
- Establish KPIs (Inventory Turnover, Fill Rate, OTIF, Cost per Unit, Lead Time).
- Monitor and report supply chain performance to senior management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma).
8. Team Leadership
- Lead, develop, and mentor supply chain teams across procurement, logistics, and planning.
- Build a high-performance, data-driven culture.
- Ensure succession planning and capability development.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
- 12–15+ years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong experience in FMCG / Detergent / Chemical Manufacturing is essential.
