Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Inspector with 4-6 years of UAE-specific experience, preferably in Oil and Gas projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical and instrumentation works comply with project specifications, industry standards, and quality requirements. This role requires expertise in inspection processes, technical standards, and safety protocols relevant to the UAE Oil and Gas sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform inspections and quality checks for electrical and instrumentation installations, including cabling, grounding, panel installations, instruments, and control systems.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, and relevant standards such as IEC, IEEE, NEC, and UAE-specific regulations.
Verify the installation, calibration, and testing of instrumentation devices such as transmitters, controllers, and sensors.
Conduct inspections of electrical equipment, such as transformers, switchgear, motors, and power distribution systems, ensuring adherence to standards.
Monitor the testing and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems to verify functionality and performance.
Review and approve inspection test plans (ITPs), method statements, and material submittals.
Identify non-conformities, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards during electrical and instrumentation works.
Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and project teams to resolve quality-related issues effectively.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive inspection records and documentation for quality assurance.
Required Qualifications and Certifications:
Diploma or degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering or a related field.
4-6 years of UAE-specific experience in E&I quality inspection, preferably in Oil and Gas projects.
Certifications (preferred but not mandatory):
Certified Electrical Inspector by NFPA or equivalent.
CompEx Certification for hazardous area inspection and installation.
ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor Certification (advantageous).
Certification in Instrumentation and Control Systems (e.g., ISA Certified Control Systems Technician – CCST).
Strong understanding of relevant international standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC, etc.) and UAE-specific regulations.
