Role Description The Supervisor – Operations & Customer Service (Sea Export) is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This position oversee and manage the day-to-day operations and customer service activities within the Sea Export department, including the management of cross-trade shipments across multiple global trade lanes. The position involves rate negotiation, quotation preparation, and coordination with various agents, shipping lines, and customers to ensure smooth execution and profitability. The role emphasizes operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and efficient collaboration across origins, hubs, and destinations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Pricing & Quotation Management
· Prepare and issue accurate freight quotations for sea export and cross-trade shipments.
· Coordinate with shipping lines, co-loaders, overseas agents, and partner offices to obtain competitive rates.
· Manage pricing for multi-leg shipments involving multiple trade lanes and origins.
· Ensure quotations meet company margin targets and operational feasibility.
· Follow up on sent quotations to maximize conversion rates and secure business.
2. Customer Relationship Management
· Communicate proactively with existing and potential customers to understand their requirements.
· Develop tailored shipping solutions for exports and cross-trade movements.
· Promote additional services and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
· Build long-term relationships with customers and overseas partners to strengthen business continuity.
3. Operations Coordination & Execution
· Coordinate with operations, documentation, and overseas offices to ensure smooth execution of confirmed shipments.
· Monitor cross-trade movements across origins and destinations to maintain full visibility.
· Communicate all shipment details, rate agreements, and routing instructions to internal and external stakeholders.
· Ensure all documentation complies with international shipping and customs regulations.
· Resolve operational challenges efficiently to ensure timely cargo delivery.
4. Cross-Trade Expertise & Trade Lane Management
· Manage and execute shipments involving third-country movements and multi-leg routings (e.g., China–Kenya via Dubai, Europe–Africa, etc.).
· Liaise with multiple agents and partners to ensure coordination between origin, hub, and destination offices.
· Maintain a database of trade lane performance, costs, and partner reliability.
· Stay updated on trade lane developments, carrier schedules, and market fluctuations to optimize pricing and routing.
5. Technical & Industry Knowledge
· Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of INCOTERMS, HS Codes, export/import documentation, and carrier procedures.
· Maintain awareness of export regulations, shipping line procedures, and freight market trends.
· Advise clients and internal teams on compliance, routing optimization, and best practices.
6. Reporting & Analysis
· Generate periodic performance reports on quotations, bookings, trade lane profitability, and service KPIs.
· Provide management with insights on rate trends, market behavior, and customer activity.
- · Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational process enhancements.

· Analytical, detail-oriented, and proficient in preparing management reports.
· Ability to manage multiple clients and quotations efficiently across time zones.

· Flexibility to support extended working hours based on global operations.
· Proficiency in MS Office, ERP/CRM systems, and freight pricing tools.
Qualifications & Experience:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
· Minimum 5 years of experience in Sea Export pricing, cross-trade operations, and customer service within the freight forwarding industry.
· Sound knowledge of international trade practices, carrier rate structures, and multi-country routing procedures.
